Elsewhere in July 2010

Anthony visits his brother Robert's family with Francoise
... and then sees them a few days after she leaves

Springtime for Foobville X

Nothing much to say except that of course Candace would have a pregnancy fashion style all her own. And I do seem to draw in Nanaimo bars where sweets are called for quite a bit, don't I?

Springtime for Foobville VII

I've been having some trouble with gradients in my photos of the pictures. Then I zap some of it if I have time, but it leaves more "fussy" parts a little grey

... and the closest thing I'll get to an "Easter" strip:

24 Dec 2009: Yipes...

John does have his limits, although since Anthony was a bystander to Elly's mental slip (and it's sad that the good news for the day is that it's a short slip), it's not clear that this should mean anything about the long term Patterson-Blandthony relationship.

I really should have taken a ruler to that door jamb in the 3rd panel.

24 Dec 2009: Liz may know it's futile to talk to Anthony, but does April?

It's been remarked that Anthony looks a lot like a young John. A direct follow-up should be in tomorrow...
(Yes, Iris is around, just not in-panel, and will be seen in a moment in comic-strip time.)

24 Dec 2009: April returns from her walk

I'm at the start of the end-of-semester madness. It's possible that drawing will be the only thing that keeps me sane, so there may be updates on the weekend.

24 Dec 2009: Fearlessly Plugging Along

What is there to say, really? Anthony is Anthony.

I've started using a larger chunk of my sketchbook pages per "strip", and for some reason it seems to be making it more natural to go back to delineating "panel borders".

24 Dec 2009: I did say there were Events Which Must Still Happen, didn't I?

One thing about drawing in the dialogue instead of computer-editing it in... I realized I should have called it an "episode of Passive-Aggressive Family Theater".

BTW, this bit is on par for "musts" with Elly going delusional the day before. I wasn't sure how many explosions there would be, initially was just going to have Meredith avoid Elly rather than harangue her, toyed with having April really have that imagined-while-cooling-off argument with Elly (but she's not seven, and she got over "going off" when she came back home after running away) ... but Anthony on the invite list, with no warning to Liz was always in the cards.
